About This Game

Florence is a heartfelt experience that lasts around 30 minutes. It's short, but deeply meaningful.

At 25, Florence Yeoh feels a little stuck. Her life is an endless routine of work, sleep, and spending too much time on social media. Then one day, she meets a cello player named Krish who changes everything about how she sees the world.

Experience every beat of Florence and Krish’s relationship through a series of bespoke gameplay vignettes – from flirting to fighting, from helping each other grow to growing apart. Drawing inspiration from ‘slice of life’ graphic novels and webcomics, Florence is intimate, raw and personal.

Original soundtrack included.

Florence pode até parecer um jogo bonitinho no começo, mas termina com um final bem agridoce, mas a mensagem final é clara, respeitar o tempo, momento e acolher momentos que passaram.

☆ Gameplay & mechanics: 3.8/5 The puzzle is quiet simple and very easy to play. ☆ Art style and audio: 4.5/5 The game animated and music is really beautiful ☆ Storyline: 3.5/5 The storyline is easy to predict. I wish it would be more at the end but it end really quickly ☆ Overall: 3.9/5 The game feels like the scent of fresh cookies that brightens your mood on a boring afternoon. It’s soft, simple, yet very comforting. However, I wish it would be more and I think the ending could have been better. It only took me about 1 hour to finish and get all the achievements. Because of that, I would recommend to only get the game when it on sale.

The art style was cute, the puzzles were OK and the story was sort of interesting. This trope is very overused though; girl/boy having 1/4 life crisis, triggered by memory of them enjoying life as a child with a passion they don't do currently (the art stuff), meets girl/boy, falls in love and gets inspired to do their passion again until relationship ends and then the final resolution is when they go all out successful with a business to do with their passion. I really don't like how the partners in these games are used just to push the character to do something they love and then leave them - woulda been nice to have a resolution on that part of the story. As someone else mentioned this isn't really a game but more of an interactive story. Since it was only under £2 I bought it and played it but to be honest, I regret paying that much for a 30mins game with a cliched and overused story, simple/boring puzzles and okay music. The game reminds me of "when the past was around".

The game is about an hour long, and that was one of the best hours of my entire life. Every single part of it. the art, the music, the creativity of some chapters, pulled me in so deeply that a few times I actually broke into tears. I have my own thoughts about the ending, but I won’t spoil it for you. Just play it, you won’t be disappointed. I wish I could talk more about the music, but I honestly can’t think of the words to describe how I felt while listening to it. Maybe it’s just me, maybe it’s personal taste, but one thing I’m certain of is that these soundtracks came straight from the heart. I’ve listened to a lot of amazing soundtracks that come close to these, or are even better in some ways, but there’s still something special about this one that makes it truly beautiful.

Playing this game while having a massive crush on someone I'm scared to lose was not a good idea. This game was made incredibly well with characters you could relate to and a beautiful story.
