I dont really leave much reviews but the game so far is really great! You can tell the developers put in hard work and effort into the level design and gameplay. The movement and combat is pretty fluid (Only thing I felt a bit clunky was the wall climb, but that just took a little getting used to and its not really much of a hindrance) . The game distinguishes itself from the rougue-like genre being more action based and speed oriented, which in my opinion is something fresh it brings to the table. The game itself can be challenging at times but its not impossible . Overall, if you like games that involve fast paced action and well structured level design that makes traversal to the end of the level satisfying I would recommend this game. false positive? I have Steam since 2014, and this is the first time i decided to leave a review... Man this game is fun and deserves more recognition. Great combat and moveset, responsive and fluid controls, the difficulty feels right, everything is done the right way. If you like platform and action with fun and engaging combats, go for it

The boss fights are fun, but the stages involve a lot of platforming and dodging and the movement is not very good.

I just had the best first impression of a game in a very long time. This game plays like the old Megaman X games and that feels great. Combat is fun, flexible, impactful and fast, both in the air and the ground. That could be all, but on top of it, it has special attacks that combo into each other, spells and even an "Estus flask" that you recover by hitting enemies. Off course there's dashing and air dashing as well. You can clearly tell the devs have poured love and dedication into this game and that they made a game they wanted to play. You can tell they are gamers first and devs second, which, in my opinion, is very important. Graphics could be better but art direction and character designs have a striking personality and charm.

I had some bumps in the road when i bought the game , there where a couple of ground breaking bugs sadly . The developer of karma knight compensate me with a free game copy after a refund.I gave them some feedback and they also fixed the game after recieving enough data from me and other gamers , so much respect to them for their commitment! I have completed karmaknight know and can say its a very fun experience. The combat feels fast and responsive . Platforming is good but some platfom sections where to precise to my tasted.also the final boss last fase was kinda hard to pinpoint where he was going to move next. Besides that i had a lot of fun with karmaknight , so definitely check this game out!.

Great platforming level design, combined with fast hack n slash combat. This game plays like a Character-Action game, similar to something like Devil May Cry, but in 2D. You stun-lock your enemies, and combo them to oblivion with immensely satisfying attacks. The combat system is really well made, pretty much every attack combos into every other attack. The controls are very responsive (except for the wall jump and wall cling), and the gameplay is really fast and fun. There are a lot of unique and interesting mechanics that they give you for platforming. When all the mechanics are combined in the platforming, it feels very fluid and you enter a flow state of jumping between lanterns and enemies, and dashing between obstacles. The game is pretty hard, I died probably 20 or so times. But I did end up finishing it, and I was surprised by how good it was. I got the game for $4CDN on sale. Excellent action platformer, where everything revolves around combat and combos. Fast, fluid, gorgeous looking, and soundtrack is also very notable! Default controls, even if a bit weird - work well, but you can rebind anything and use a controller if you prefer. A single, miniature complaint, would go to slightly off translations - but its never confusing or misleading. If you like games like Strider or Dead Cells, this one will be right up there.

Karma Knight is all about fast, dexterous action and demands that you learn its mechanics to make it all the way to the end. You choose from one of two playable characters at the start and proceed through twelve stages, each one a gauntlet of enemies and platforming challenges. You come equipped with a main weapon, partially invulnerable dash, three special attacks, and a "shift" ability that allows you to launch yourself in the air when near special lotus flowers (more on this later). As you progress you will accumulate a few different currencies that can be traded in for various upgrades--higher weapon damage, more health, more stamina for special attacks, etc. Among the stages are various items that will unlock even more offensive and defensive options, and while they're not exactly hidden, you will need to explore the limited branches off the main path in order to find them. Karma Knight's greatest achievement is in delivering truly compelling combat and platforming in one package...

Like other people have said, this game is a rare gem. It's a two hands on the keyboard kind of platforming fighting game. There are a lot of boring games in this genre, but this is a good one. Worth the time if you're into the sort of game. I picked it up for $2 but it's worth paying the $8 they're asking for. It's a cheap price but better than a lot of other games you'll pay more for.
