Binger Ninja

A 2D isometric game where the player takes control of an overweight ninja called Binger.

The game takes place in Nakamura tower, a modern skyscraper in Tokyo. Each floor represents a new level with each elevator representing the progression to the next stage, your objective is to pass through the different stages using any means necessary, stealth or aggressive, and complete your mission.

Features

Stealth - The player can stealth their way past difficult enemies and use their environment to conceal them and give them the upper hand in battles.
Hunger - Due to Binger's nature, eating is vital. Whilst food can be used to attack the enemies, they can also be used to fill Binger's ever decreasing health bar.
Diverse themes - The environment in the game changes throughout the story, with curious enemies and environments getting introduced throughout.
Narrative - The comedic story is unveiled through both the dialogue and the surroundings the player finds themselves surrounded in.

Watch the video posted above, it'll give you an intro to the game, gameplay and my thoughts on the game. Binger Ninja is an interesting oddity in the sense that has way too many mechanics, charm and clarity to be only $1 (USD). I was not expecting so many polished systems, driving narrative and fun gameplay. Do you fancy yourself a ninja? What to crawl through vents and hide behind plants? Do you enjoy attacking people unmercifully with food? Are you hungry right now? A simple yes to any of these questions tells me that Binger Ninja is the game for you. Pick it up now and tell your friends as well.

Really enjoyed playing through Binger Ninja! I love the aesthetics of the game as well as the tongue in cheek humour. The music and visuals really do make you feel as though you are back playing a game boy game. Seems like the developers have really hit the niche that they were going for which translates to a fun game :)
