A much weaker, less content rich, less fun and less challenging Brotato clone. The premise is great, and I discovered that the one thing that was missing from the brotato formular for me was enemy sprites that I can associate something with (vs. brotato's unique and original aliens, which are alright). This game has some neat ideas, like an "amount" stat that increases the amount of minions some of the weapons spawn. However, none of the stats are really supported since there's far too few items, and the stat caps are far too stingy. The developer is also pretty full of himself apparently, the characters and the OST keep yelling his username (???), and he put his self insert as the strongest character in the game (??????), and there's dedicated buttons in the main menu for dangling item unlocks in front of the players face and demanding that people publish popular youtube videos about the game to unlock them (?). All in all a very disappointing experience. If you want to judge yoursel...

Wow. This game is really good! I've been bored out of my mind for the last couple weeks and I've bought like 5 or 6 roguelikes/survivorlikes, desperately trying to escape that boredom. None of them hold a candle to this. I know every other review compares this to Brotato and I am going to do the same, but it's not just a clone. Upon booting up the game, you can instantly tell that the guy who made this is a massive fan of Brotato and that's great because I am too! Not only is this game so similar that you can pretty much pick it up right after finishing Brotato and get right back into the groove, it's also so much better in almost every single way and still manages to keep its own very prominent identity. This truly feels like a love-letter to Brotato but also to games and gaming culture in general. Every system Brotato had is heavily expanded upon in this game. From the set item (or "synergy") mechanics to turrets and summons, itemization, character and item unlocks through pro...
ahh yes, Brotato Boss Mode, Brotato 2, lowkey find this a lil more entertaining then Brotato ._. who doesn't enjoy a good roguelike? pretty simple, if you're a fan of these genres, then add it to your list other's will find it simple, a clone, just another type or maybe even challenging but I've enjoyed it :) nice characters, still yet to unlock them all maybe I'll come back to edit when I complete it
great fun game, working great on steamdeck
What is going on with the performance of this game?
I think the game clearly isn't ready yet. It just feels worse than Brotato, even though it has quite a few conceptual improvements over it. There is potential, but I feel like basics like balance and game feel are currently too bad to enjoy it for a longer time.
This is just an inferior version of Brotato. The game will get boring fast. Too easy and too grindy
It's nearly a carbon copy of Brotato, but Brotato is still superior to this game sadly. This lacks the upgrade diversity that made Brotato so good, and aesthetics and character premises could also use some work. If Brotato is an ocean, then this is a lake.
Noobs are coming, is Brotato with some good music. Hope we get a few more tunes to listen to when the game releases, I kind of enjoyed it. It manages to distances it self from Brotato in a way that you know what you are doing, but still there are new things to tinker around with and solve around characters. You play as a boss, and all the noobs are running after you trying to kill you It has some fun gags of internet meme stuff, and enemy is typical what raiders from wow says, while they run around. Fun consept Not a bad game and worth checking out if you are into this type of games
81 hours played. All current content unlocked with all awards (85/85), which is roughly half of what the devs have planned. They respond well to feedback and have notably improved the game a lot during my playtime. RNG remains decidedly iffy and character balance is wild, but there's already a good game here and potential to get an awful lot better yes, I recommend
