The Leak

A short narrative experience with great sound and visual design alongside with some excellent writing. Doesn't get boring as you're accompanied with a high quality and impactful narration throughout. Although there is room for improvement, I still liked -as it was described in the description- the "greyscale" pixelart graphical style. Story-wise, it certainly isn't an easy pill to swallow. Perhaps not just from a thematic perspective but also how it managed touch a very personal aspect within my psyche, which might be something that can happen to a significant amount of other players as well. Who knows, maybe it shuffled some feathers around a place in my own mind that I tried to block once and act as if it never existed in the first place, now. So, suffice to say that I've found a bunch of thoughts to ponder over after I finished it, but can't exactly guarantee the same effect on anybody else. It sorta calls for a specific state of my mind if you ask me. On another note, I saw a coup...

Quick game, it makes you reflect about how you treat life, also your intuitions reinforce you to commit such deeds, use your critical thoughts more than your emotional ones, tip of the day.

I needed this game when it came to me. To they who made it - thank you.

[h1]Pros:[/h1] -It's cheap. This game was only a dollar. If you view this and the dev's other game "PigBlue" (which is free) as a bundle, the already reasonable price/game time ratio of The Leak becomes better. -Compelling story. -The dialogue is poetic and and interesting. -The music, though not made by this game dev and being open source, fits the story nicely. It was a good choice. [h1]Cons:[/h1] -To avoid redundancy, you'll want to save before every meaningful dialogue option to save yourself from playing more than you have to). But again, it's cheap. I don't hold it against the game. -One of the voices in the game is that annoying one found on TikTok. Ugh Spelling correction for the dev: Near the beginning the narrator says "quite" instead of "quiet"
