Fun tower defense, good amount of variety, unlocks and challenges. My only real complaint so far is that on the boss stages you have no method to pause and plan at all, if you pause it goes to a screen where you can't see the map or make changes so it takes away from the strategy aspect and turns it into an action response situation. Some people may like that, but it doesn't fit the rest of the stages where you get to plan between waves.

Great TD game so far. My one real complaint is how the boss battles work, they feel a bit too frantic without the ability to have any sort of breather in between rounds. Maybe each boss hides for a moment at certain health intervals so you have one or two chances to strategize your defenses.
Bean beasts is an amazing game! Such a huge fan of the music, art, and depth of the world built by one legend. Will go down as my favorite tower defense game ever created(I was lucky to play test the game as well). The love put into this game is palpable and present. It all comes together to be an amazing, thought through and deep game. Anxious noob thank you for dropping this absolute bombshell. It's amazing you did this solo
Overall Impression: B. An interesting town defense game that made me feel I got my money's worth. A tower defense game with enough unique twists to make it interesting. Some of the the challenges can be a little much, but most of them make you think in different ways on how to best use traps and the bean beasts. No bugs or glitches so far. There are some really tough levels, later on in the game. There is one that is downright frustrating where your towers will slide off the map. That one is not fun at all. The final boss is a trip. Bring your A game for that one.
This is a very enjoyable tower defense. About through the 2nd area (with 10 maps each area) and this game has permanent upgrades/unlocks you can buy with currency you earn when beating levels/challenges , in game tower upgrades, tower "Promotions" and then more upgrades for those promotions. Your creature "Towers" will change as they upgrade and each have their own strengths and weaknesses. Your choices of well. Each part of your load out changes your synergies with other towers and the abilities that you cast change too. The abilities have skill challenges to "Perfect Cast" and it's absolutely noticeable when you "Perfect Cast" All in all the character of the art and the synergy of the mechanics make this a pretty damn good tower defence. I have one complaint so far: Devs, if you read this please let me right click to exit build mode. The times I didn't realize i was still building something and wasted energy has been far too much.
This game rules!!! You play as a lizard and you ride dinosaurs or whatever, I don't know, and you have these little jelly beans killing animals for you! Then you place traps and launch skills, it's cool! Cutesy with some fun depth! Multiple difficulties! Cool story! Bring it to mobile so I can play it on the road because I don't own a Steam Deck or ASUS RoG!!!
Bean Beasts is a fine Tower Defense game. A lot of TD games come out every year, but every couple of years a game such as this one is released. It is among the best in the genre, and clearly a product of a lot of work and an understanding of what makes TD attractive to the fans of the genre. Fans and experts of TD will undoubtedly enjoy this game. Here is a brief description. A Demo can be downloaded, so that is another way to find out whether the game is for you or not. The game is complex and has the right level of difficulty to keep you playing without getting frustrated or getting bored. The game follows many of the main features of a TD game. There is a dinosaur (tower) to defend, and enemies of various types come across a field. You have to defend your bean beast from these enemies using a limited number of weapons and upgrades. The path of the enemies is not fixed and can be redirected as part of your strategy. As you progress, you gain various strengths making it poss...
This is a very good classic-style TD. They don't make many like this anymore, so I'm glad to see them when they pop up.
I almost teared up when the tree goblins stomped on the frog spawns. At least it got its revenge by exploding for 30 damage. Loved it!
Cute design and nice gameplay loop, if your looking for a new tower defence game give this one a try
