Abyss: New Dawn

Game is really cute, normally I'd be happy about not being flooded with tutorials for every little thing but I think maaaaaaaybe a little bit more info would be helpful (took me a while to figure out how to make something as basic as the crafting table since I didn't realise I had to find/craft specific stuff to make even that appear in my list and I still don't know whether I can make something like a tailoring bench to make clothes or if the only place is the shop, or whether I can expand shop inventories etc) but overall its super cute and I'm enjoying my time with it so far and hopefully updates keep improving it

After playing for 1.5 hours I can see myself sinking some time into this game, its beautifully designed with a cute and cozy feel, the combat is simple and straight forward but its not the main focus of the game. resource gathering is rewarding, although a bit tedious with how fast the tools wear out at the stone level, however, at the same time one cant expect stone tools to be super durable, so making your way up to metal tools is important. many things are not explained but they do have a discord where the community manager is active and is super kind and helpful when you have questions. they are also very receptive and responsive to feedback and bug reports. as an early access title we expect issues and overlooked items but so far I've run into very few. You can tell they care about this game. I'd recommend this game to anyone looking for a relaxing game to play and an outlet to express creativity. I look forward to seeing what the devs have to offer coming up for this game...

TO THE ABYSS

This is EA and lacking content at the moment. That is not to say there is nothing to do. Upgrading tools to copper will keep you busy. Lots of exploring, well worth looking far and wide for resources. Also getting your first house is a challenge, but well worth it. As is the Storehouse, plenty of storage for all those pumpkins. There are daily challenges for coin and the shops will supply rarer items over time, so worth checking daily. Overall a very good start for a game with plenty of potential, would recommend. The developers are helpful on there Discord and seem on top of things. Have not had any problems after 18 hours of play.

This is a cute survival game! It's low stress enough that it doesn't discourage me from playing, but also has enough tasks and challenge to keep the game engaging! For anyone who likes survival games but doesn't want it to be too difficult/scary, this game is perfect. My husband even wants to play this with me :) It has taken me a little bit to learn how to play since there isn't really a tutorial phase or anything, but the devs communicate sooo well through Discord and answer any questions as well as put out almost daily updates to improve the game. Abyss: New Dawn hasn't been out very long, but I'm already trying to get my friends to get it and play with me haha.
