About This Game

A martial arts master, after his death, finds himself in an afterlife teeming with demons and skeletons. However, the master is not so simple, and thanks to his skills honed over the years and the magic of the afterlife, he will try to prove his mastery in the world of the dead.

Joutun - A 2D pixel top-down game where the player takes on the role of a hero with various skills, from shooting to slowing down time. Fending off waves of enemies and increasing their level, the player must reach their maximum potential, beating their record.

The premise of a martial arts master battling in the afterlife is an exciting concept that captures attention. However the execution leaves much to be desired as the gameplay quickly becomes repetitive. Although the pixel art style is charming it does not compensate for the lack of variety in enemies and levels. The skills system seems promising but it feels underdeveloped and does not provide a satisfying sense of progression. Rolling and shooting mechanics can sometimes feel clunky leading to frustrating moments during intense battles. Overall the game has potential but it needs more polish and refinement to truly shine.
