About This Game

Guilt is a Chilling Feeling...

Originally released in 2005, Fahrenheit (known as Indigo Prophecy in North America) was a breakthrough in interactive narrative, teetering between the worlds of cinema and gaming while also embracing them, carving its own unique genre in the entertainment landscape. This newly remastered edition features updated graphics, controller support AND is based on the uncut/uncensored international version of the game.

With a rich multilayered narrative, innovative presentation, and a chilling musical score by famed Hollywood composer Angelo Badalamenti, Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered serves as the definitive version of the supernatural murder mystery and (re)introduces the groundbreaking title to old and new fans alike.

Features:
• Interactive Drama — An intuitive control scheme and spectacular split-screen presentation complement the game's mysterious noir narrative.
• Extensive Replayability — With branching dialog and multiple endings, each playthrough of the game yields a different outcome.
• Multiple Characters — Take control of the narrative through four different playable characters, each illuminating a different perspective of the story.
• Fully Voiced Script — Every line from the extensive script is voiced by professional actors in English, French, German, and Spanish.
• Cinematic Score — Fahrenheit features a fully orchestrated score composed by Angelo Badalamenti, famous for his extensive work with director David Lynch.
• Uncut version of the game — Unlike the original North American release,
Remastered contains all of the game's original scenes, uncensored and uncut.

Key Upgrades:
• High-definition Graphics — All of the in-game textures have been meticulously recreated in HD for desktop.
• Controller Support — Support for Sony and Microsoft controllers for desktop platforms.
• Live Graphics Comparison — Players can switch between the updated visuals and the original art assets by pressing F9

It started off pretty well, but as the game went on, it began to feel unpleasant. Don’t get me wrong, but what the f*ck was that ending? Like, are you f*cking serious right now bruh..? The game had so much potential, but somehow they decided to waste it all in the end. I don’t even want to talk about the gameplay. All I’m gonna say is that those ‘LB & RB’ sequences and camera angles were bullsh*t...

Played this back in the late 2000s on Xbox, and jumping into the remaster was pure nostalgia. The story, atmosphere, and choices still hold up amazingly well, even with its age showing a bit. If you want a unique, story-driven classic that still hits hard today, this is it.

“One of the few perfect games ever made.” -Carl Schmitt Where do I even begin? This game pulls no punches. It’s a constellation of contrasting ideas and themes, crystallized into an incredible gaming experience. One moment I was battling primordial entities and uncovering secrets of a lost civilization. Next thing I knew, I was traveling the frigid streets of New York City while engaged in a cutting exploration of race relations in modern America. This game has it all. Mind powers. Love. Snow. Black people. Necrophilia. “Fuck you. Stupid American pig. Buy my game. I fuck your mother.” -David Cage

Finally, I beat the game. Not gonna lie, the gameplay here is mostly "Quick Time Events". Also, the controls are clunky, and the game itself crashes a lot on my end. It plays well like an interactive movie, but some of the parts are unintentionally funny for some reason. This story is mostly plot-based. Characters were just there. Most of the endings are just kind of lame? But the reason I'm giving this game a positive review is because it's just entertaining. That's what matters for me, personally.

I love old quantic dream stuff. Fahrenheit is a gripping and emotional experience. Lucas's story kept me hooked from start to finish, and the cinematic gameplay made it feel like I was part of a movie. Definitely worth playing!
