About This Game

First day at a new job? What a nightmare!

All players now have access to the Yuppie Psycho: Executive Edition Update! Which includes new areas, new bosses, and hours of carefully crafted new content to build on the Yuppie Psycho universe.

Join Brian Pasternack, a young man with no future in a dystopian 90s society, on his first day at one of the world’s largest companies, Sintracorp. Uncertain, unprepared, and massively unqualified, will Pasternack have what it takes to shine in Sintracorp’s hierarchy? It all depends on how he performs on his first assignment… and whether he survives it.

During his unconventional employee orientation, Pasternack discovers what his new job really entails: hunting a “witch” whose powers made the success of the corporation possible in the first place, but who now seems to have returned to torment its employees. Brian will meet all kinds of odd characters, escape from terrible creatures, and unravel the hidden secrets of Sintracorp’s dark past.

During Brian's Time at Sintracorp, you will:

  • Familiarize Yourself with Your Workspace: Use the elevator to discover who’s working and what’s lurking on every floor of Sintracorp.

  • Learn Office Protocol: Learn when to chat, when to work, and when to cower in terror from otherworldly beings.

  • Engage in Watercooler Conversation: Investigate your co-workers and discover their sordid, blood-soaked secrets.

  • Consider your five-year goal: Only you can choose how this story will end, so make your decisions carefully!

  • Assess health and safety: Use different light methods to light your path and reveal what is breathing in the dark.

  • Conduct a Rigorous Personal Assessment: Find clues, solve riddles, discover new paths - all without letting the Witch catch you!

You can purchase the Yuppie Psycho OST made by Michael "Garoad" (Composer of VA-11 Hall-A) right on Bandcamp!

[b]Overall the game doesn't value your time. Which is a shame because otherwise it's a good game.[b] The combination of the limited save system and tedious amounts of walking puzzles drag out the experience and ruins the game. I like the story, the characters are interesting and the writing is pretty good. It has a good balance of humor, creepiness and mystery. But after losing a half hour of progress due to dying for the third time it's hard to keep playing. Their are too many other games to play instead of replaying the same experience over and over.

A game with fun presentation and a very neat concept ruined by unclear puzzles, insanely unbalanced enemy encounters that lead to many cheap deaths, an unnecessary consumable-based save system (the main reason why I quit, a single death set me back so far I couldn't even imagine replaying everything I'd just done) and to top it off I'm just not really a fan of the writing style. I was excited to finally check this game out after keeping it on my wishlist for so long but the longer I played the more I realized it just was not an enjoyable experience in the slightest.

Various hidden achievements to find, and with multiple endings to unlock the story behind the game becomes much more complex the more times it's replayed.

Pretty darn good, especially the last hour or so. A few good scares and clearly a passion project.

Yuppie Psycho is a survival-horror adventure game that is a mixture of parody and horror. You play as Brian Pasternack, a G-class citizen from the suburbs who gets a mysterious and unexpected job offer from the extremely prestigious Sintracorp. It's only upon arrival that you learn that your new job has one simple directive: Kill the Witch! It's immediately apparent that there is something off about this workplace. At the very surface it seems like a fairly normal office building with normal workers that wander the halls in a comically zombie-like state. It won't be long, however, before there some strange office-themed monster you have to hide from including the previously mentioned witch that you have to find before she finds you. The game-play primarily consists of talking to other characters and solving inventory-based puzzles while exploring the building. It's presented in an 8-bit top-down RPG style with visual-novel-style dialogue. The puzzles you have to solve feel like ...
