About This Game

The Yeti, Loch Ness Monster, Chupacabra, and Mothman are aliens, sentenced to prison on Earth by the Pan-Galactic Prisons Bureau. As the Yeti's parole officer, you must defend the galaxy from these convicts, unravel their criminal conspiracy, and bring them to justice!

Yeti's Parole Officer is a hilarious interactive sci-fi novel by KT Bryski, where your choices control the story. It's entirely text-based--without graphics or sound effects--and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.

As an officer of pan-galactic law, you'll travel around the world to wipe all memory of alien activity on Earth, battling extaterrestrial smugglers and rival PGPB agents alike to save the world from nefarious cryptids.

Will you play as male or female? Gay or straight? Will you throw the book at the alien scofflaws messing with your planet, or will you betray your allies for personal gain? The choice is yours!

I enjoyed this game, it didn't feel overly long that's fine for the price it is available at the moment, I will say the title is a tad misleading but eh, it's more the whole idea of the story that interests me. I think I got a fairly good ending and will most certainly be trying multiple playthroughs to see what else happens.

Played through once. Probably won't again. The writing is pretty lack luster. Characters are continously introduced to never be seen again until the very end. And the entire ending feels rushed. I was literally talking to the mastermind and then suddenly it's months later and I left the law force I was a part of, told absolutely nothing about my character's relationship with the other characters or even what happened to them. Really low on the quality scale among other choice of games.

Unfortunately the stated premise takes a hike out the window pretty quickly. The Yeti barely shows up in this game at all, and while you briefly act as his parole officer towards the beginning, you're really working as a peacekeeping officer with the entire Earth as your jurisdiction and various cryptids as your charges. There's a series of incidents ... mothman, chupacabra, a jackalope. Does it all lead towards something? Can your bird-alien superiors keep you on track towards cracking the case, or will your new partner be a hindrance instead of a helper? I beat this three times in an hour, so it isn't exactly a long-haul game. It's well-written enough but it IS a railroad of a story. You can affect small details here and there, but you aren't changing the plot in any major way except at specific nodes. Still, I had a good time with it.

This story was okay. I had fun reading it, but it was really short. I felt there was a lot more that could've been done with the characters. I still enjoyed the read though. I'd give this a 6.5/10.

This isn't the worst Choice of Games/Hosted Games game, but its easily one of the most disapointing. It has a great premise, but doesn't do anything with it. For starters, the Yeti (which the game is named after) is barely in the game. That's not a problem per se, but it does go to show how misleading the entire thing is. Characters and plot points come and go at break neck speeds, the overall plot is pretty incoherent as you travel all across Earth and the galaxy at the drop of a hat following unrelated plot threads, your choices don't seem to make much of a difference, there's a forced romance that's uninteresting, your stats and money are completely useless as far as I can tell, and the ending is unbelievably rushed. Worst of all, the game is almost condescending in how it reacts to your choices. It pats you on the head, literally speaks to you-the player-and says you made a good choice. You'll be given a new clearance level every five seconds (which, again, does nothing) and even ...
