F/A-18E Super Hornet

THURST DOES NOT WORK. FA18 I IS NOT FLYABLE

Wow I forgot I owned this game back in the day. It's 24 years old and the cutscenes and atmosphere are better than I remember (and better than a lot of modern AAA games) and it has certainly stood the test of time. What a classic game!!!!! The menu layout is a bit more confusing than i remember, and I can only control the Aircraft with the keyboard at the moment. Games like this had an encyclopedia sized manual supplied with the game, and were not easy to master. It took a lot of time to read, practice and learn how to play the game. It's not an arcade game, more of a flight simulator. I guess I will have to try and find a keycard and try to relearn how to play this game again. If your into flight sims, then this is definitely worth a try !!!!!

This retro game is worth it if you take the time to read the manual and learn the systems. I played without a joystick for 40 hours and still had lots of fun. On the downside there is no custom missions however you can choose your own weapons and loadout and flight plans. Another issue is the rudder which seems to have no effect when used. Despite some frustrating mechanics, its a lot of fun to jump into a mission, destroy some targets and return to base. I would recommend this game to anybody who wants a lightweight flight sim that offers some realism and an interactive cockpit without the need for a supercomputer and understanding of what every button does in and FA18. Overall this game is a fun simplified flight sim that is a blast if you can get around issues that come from a limited 90s game.
